		New Bat Rule for 2012 For 2012, the safe bat rule applies as follows: Any bat measuring 31 or greater requires the BBCOR certification stamp on the bat whether it is composite or metal/aluminum. Any wood bat would be required to be -3 drop or less. Note: Bats used in high school play follow this same standard. Any bat measured 30 or less may be of any composition. The drop may be greater than -3. Please see the Advisory Board Rules or ask your manager or umpire for clarification and the exact wording.
